A powerful daily prayer for your grandchildren

A powerful daily prayer for your grandchildren

As grandparents, mentors, and leaders, we have been given the incredible power to make a difference in the world through the lives of the children we love. Though many of us pray for our own adult children and grandchildren daily, and we strongly believe in the power of prayer, it's sometimes hard to know how to pray strategically. Specifically. We may find ourselves even struggling to know exactly what to pray for.

There’s a battle over our families today, and the enemy would love nothing more than to destroy all that we hold dear in this life. He’ll do everything he can to lure our grandchildren his way, and down paths filled with darkness and brokenness. Though the times we live in now may be vastly different than when we grew up, the temptations every generation will face are strong, and Satan’s tactics are always fierce. He fights hard to keep us and our loved ones far away from God and the power of His love and forgiveness. But we don't have to let him win. Here’s hope from God’s word to remember…

Dear Lord,

We trust You to raise up Your greatness in our grandchildren, who are willing to stand strong and true, passionate for You. And we believe that You have designed them for your purpose and good works.

May You be a lamp for their feet. Be a light to their path. Shine over them. Fill them with your Spirit. Bless them with your favor and peace. Be constantly at their side, and to have their back too, all at the same time.

Amen.
