When your friends are in pain, you suffer along with them. Whether a friend is going through a painful divorce, coping with the loss of a lucrative job, dealing with a difficult illness, or suffering from soul-deadening depression, you struggle to find something — anything — you can do to help them. For people of faith, prayer has always been the most natural answer.
No matter how dire the circumstances, we know that God, our ever present source of strength in times of need, will hear the prayers we offer for a friend. We cannot always know how our prayers will be answered, but we trust in God’s infinite wisdom and boundless love for us all.
If you have a friend in crisis, or if you’re worried about them health or state of mind, be sure to reach out to them with your support, but also consider offering up this prayer for a friend. Never underestimate the power of prayer.
Pray with me:
I treasure my wonderful friends so much. Thank you for their presence in my life.
I love them so and pray for your blessing to be upon them. Fill up their lives with your goodness. Pour out your hope into their hearts. Come revive them with showers of love, and bathe them in your grace. May they drink in your truth and goodness, and live a life full of joy.
