"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." - John 13:34. This verse is a commandment from Jesus, instructing us to love one another. It is not a suggestion or a preference, but a direct command from our Lord.

Jesus demonstrates the nature of the love we are to have for others in the way he lived his life and served others, even to the point of dying on the cross for us. This love was selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional. It was a love that sought the best for others, even at great personal cost.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to love others in the same way, putting their needs ahead of our own and seeking their well-being even when it is difficult or inconvenient. This kind of love is not just a feeling, but an action, a choice to prioritize others and serve them.

Let us ask ourselves, are we loving others in the way Jesus has loved us? Let us pray for the strength and grace to love others selflessly and sacrificially, just as Jesus has loved us.

Pray with us

Dear God, thank You for the love You have shown us through Jesus. Help us to love others in the same way, putting their needs ahead of our own and seeking their well-being. Give us the strength and grace to love selflessly and sacrificially, just as Jesus has loved us. Amen.
