Reflecting on the past year
"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits" - Psalm 103:2
Psalm 103:2 tells us to "praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits." This verse reminds us of the many ways in which God has blessed us and provided for us. It's easy to get caught up in the distractions and stresses of daily life and forget to give thanks to God for all that He has done. But when we take time to remember and give thanks for His blessings, it helps us to focus on His goodness and faithfulness.
As you reflect on this verse, take some time to think about the blessings and benefits you have received from God. Perhaps it's the gift of salvation, the support and love of friends and family, or the provision of material needs. Whatever it is, give thanks to God for His faithfulness and goodness.
Remember that giving thanks to God is not just about listing off our blessings and saying "thank you." It's about acknowledging that everything we have comes from Him and recognizing that He is worthy of our praise and thanksgiving. As we give thanks to God, it helps us to grow in our relationship with Him and experience His peace and presence in a deeper way.
Pray with us
Dear God, thank you for your faithfulness and goodness. Thank you for all the blessings and benefits you have given me. Help me to remember your goodness and give you thanks always. In your holy name I pray, Amen.
